Runway: 2600 ft BY 40 ft. RWY 30 has a 300 ft displaced threshold.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS THEN PLEASE LAND ELSEWHERE.

USE AIRSTRIP, AWOS DATA, AND FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK

This PRIVATE AIRSTRIP is for the use of Sea Ranch Association members, their invitees, and their renters. Parked aircraft MUST have a valid Sea Ranch owner’s decal, an owner ID card, or a valid Sea Ranch vehicle hang tag clearly visible to Sea Ranch Security personnel.

Association members and rental agencies must provide this ID to their pilot invitees.

DO NOT VIOLATE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING AIRSTRIP RULES.

NO OPERATIONS BETWEEN LOCAL SUNSET AND SUNRISE

NO STRAIGHT-INS. NO BASE ENTRIES

ANNOUNCE ALL INTENTIONS CTAF: 122.9

APPROACH: RIGHT HAND TRAFFIC -- BOTH RUNWAYS.

DEPART OR GO-AROUND: LEFT TURNOUT -- BOTH RUNWAYS

NOISE SENSITIVE AREA. (NO PRACTICE LANDINGS OR TOUCH AND GOES)

AIRSTRIP WARNINGS AND UNUSUAL CONDITIONS

On gusty days expect wind shear, turbulence and loss of lift on short final.

(Whitecaps on ocean often indicate gusty conditions)

Check the traffic pattern indicator and both windsocks. The main windsock and TPI is located on knoll between the runway and the Hangars. A second windsock is on the Firehouse (1/8 mile final to RUNWAY 30). A 25-foot AWOS TOWER is on the same knoll as the main windsock.

AWOS data on telephone only - 707.785.9999

HILLS, TREES AND BUILDINGS surround airstrip.

BUZZARDS, TURKEYS AND DEER ARE FREQUENTLY ON THE STRIP AND ITS IMMEDIATE VICINITY.

HUMP in center of runway prevents line of sight between runway ends.

When departing RWY 30 check for deer by taxing to RWY 12 and return for departure.

Check for MAINTENANCE VEHICLES on the runway or its borders.

Runway 30 departure or go-around: Maintain runway heading until end of runway, then,

FOR NOISE ABATEMENT, turn left to 190o and proceed on that heading to the Coastline.

(RWY 30 Go-Around: Left turn to 190o, at coastline reenter right traffic via a right crosswind.)

Airstrip license requires RWY 12 approach to be “… angled 15o westerly of runway centerline…” i.e.,

Approach RWY 12 at a heading of 105o.

Remember – NO STRAIGHT INS, NO BASE ENTRIES.

Remember – Arrivals use only right turns, Departures and go arounds use only left turns

NO RIGHT TURNS ON DEPARTURE. RWY 30 Departure MUST turn to 190 to coast.

Remember – We often have DEER, TURKEYS and BUZZARDS on the runway and

BUZZARDS and an occasional TURKEY in the traffic pattern.
