Publications Available From The Sea Ranch Association Office Members who visit the Association office are aware of much of the information and literature relating to The Sea Ranch and its environs that is available either for purchase or as a free handout. But even regular visitors may not be aware of the availability or even the existence of many reports relevant to important issues facing the Association and its membership. These have been written by consultants, contractors, TSRA Directors and special committees who report to either the Board of Directors or the Community Manager. Typically these reports are available for short term loan (usually for 10 days) or for "inspection only" if the size of the document precludes reproduction and circulation. An example of the latter category of document is the large map showing the location of the "view corridors" along Highway #1 stipulated in the Bane Bill settlement. The reports and documents dealing with various facets of Association affairs often contain a bonanza of data and background information on the issue at hand. In addition, they can also provide answers to unrelated questions of a historical or general nature. For example, many of the reports written during the past few years dealing with the search for an appropriate water storage site contain maps showing the location of identified archeological sites. Some include detailed geological maps indicating the location of recognized active and historical faults, landslides, soil types, seeps, sag ponds etc. at TSR. They are on a smaller scale than is typical of maps available from public agencies, such as the California Division of Mines and Geology or the U.S. Geological Survey. Because TSRA's collection of reports and documents comprise an enormous amount of material dating from the inception of The Sea Ranch, the following list has been abbreviated to include only documents and reports acquired within the last few years. Earlier reports are frequently included in the bibliographies of the current reports and inquiry to the Association can establish their availability. Also included in this list are the free brochures and items currently available for purchase at the Association office. A small mailing charge may apply.
