Black Oystercatcher

The Black Oystercatcher (Haematopus bachmani) is a noisy shorebird, black with a bright reddish bill.
Whimbrel

The Whimbrel (Numenious phaeopus) is a large shorebird with a long bill that curves down.
Black Turnstone

The Black Turnstone (Arenaria melanocephala) is a short shorebird that "crawls" over the rocks.
Pelagic Cormorant

The Pelagic Cormorant (Phalacrocorax pelagicus), in breeding plumage, has distinctive white flank patches that show as it flies. It nests in narrow ledges of the bluff.
Western Gull
