Visiting The Sea Ranch
Members of the public may enjoy The Sea Ranch by visiting the public beaches and public access trails, or by renting a house from any of several rental agencies. You might consider staying at the Sea Ranch Lodge or playing golf at the Sea Ranch Golf Links. The public is welcome to visit the Sea Ranch Chapel, located at mile marker 55.5 on Highway 1.
Visitors are asked to remember that The Sea Ranch is a community of private homes. Please respect private property and the privacy and peace of the residents. All Sea Ranch roads, most facilities, and most trails are private: for use only by owners, renters, and their guests.
Sonoma County Regional Parks manages six public access trails on The Sea Ranch, each leading to a separate area of the coast. Public trails listed below start at Highway 1 parking areas (see mile markers indicated) and cross bluff-top meadows and forests to the rugged coastline. Cliffside staircases lead to secluded beaches with sandy coves, tide pools, and rock formations. Restrooms are available in parking areas. Keep dogs on leash in all areas, including the beach. Please stay on marked public access trails, as all other paths and roads within The Sea Ranch are privately owned and not for public use.
Get your own Trails Map at The Sea Ranch Association office located at 975 Annapolis Road, The Sea Ranch, and enjoy a hike to the beach. For more information, see a listing of Sonoma County Regional Parks.
