Dear Members of The Sea Ranch Association,
It’s been another productive week for TSRA staff. Ohlson pool renovations are awaiting sign-off from the County and we look forward to re-opening in time for Memorial Day. Mowing continues across TSR with machines and sheep. Election season is in full swing. Please cast your vote! Wishing all a sunny week ahead.
Thank You,

Winter storms are fresh in memory and the summer fire season is about to begin. As the CLC updates the Area Plans to consider climate change, member observations are vital in identifying climate hazards and vulnerabilities in neighborhoods throughout TSR. Round-table exchanges among members will inform recommendations for managing and adapting our commons in the face of uncertainty. Bring photos, drawings, stories to describe your observations.

Hike: A Tour of the TPZ
Date: Saturday, May 20, 2023
Location and Time: Meet at the Ohlson Recreation Center parking lot at 1:00 pm or at the intersection of Timber Ridge Rd and the Ridge Trail – off Deerfield at 1:10 pm
A good workout with lots of contrasting scenery. Beginning at TP122 at the north end of the Ridge Trail, this hike takes us through a mixed forest of redwoods, firs, pines, tan oaks and madrones. We will visit the Walk-in cabins, admire ocean views and native azaleas and stop by a water tank before returning to TP122. Dogs on leash are welcome.
Save The Date: FMP Discussion and Walk
Please join staff on Thursday, June 15 at 12:00 pm and/or Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 am for a walk and discussion about the different types of fuel breaks that were proposed in the Fuels Management Program update.
Staff will provide a detailed and tactical explanation of what has been proposed for the shaded and roadside fuel breaks. We will also have time for questions and answers and discussion afterwards. Please reserve these dates and times, and stay tuned for additional details.
These events are intended to increase clarity around what has and has not been proposed for fuel breaks on The Sea Ranch. If there are specific questions or comments you would like to submit in advance, feel free to send them to [email protected].
If you would like your event or activity to appear as an InfoAlert, please submit your information to our online Request Form or email to [email protected].
