Dear Members of The Sea Ranch Association,
It has been a difficult week for staff in processing the loss of one of our senior team members. Thank you in advance for your continued patience as we continue to move work ahead with fewer hands. Staff is grateful for the kindness and heartfelt condolences that have been extended by so many members. Wishing you blue skies and a wonderful rest of the week.
Warmly,
Menka Sethi
TSRA Community Manager
Website Improvements

Based on member feedback, user behavior, and common inquiries, members will see new tools and enhancements as well as updates to navigation and usability. This week, the members home page will be updated to include a new interactive facilities calendar, quick links section, recently posted videos, and more! Keep an eye out for changes, and email website@tsra.org with questions or input.
Sea Ranch Water Among “Best Tasting” in California
Water Company staff recently participated in the California Rural Water Association Expo in South Lake Tahoe. With record attendance at the Expo, Sea Ranch water was a top 3 finalist in the “Best Tasting Water” competition. Water samples were evaluated based on bouquet, clarity, and taste. South Lake Tahoe and Palisades were the other finalists. Palisades ultimately won and will be entered in a national competition later this year.

Save The Date: FMP Discussion and Walk
Please join staff on Thursday, June 15 at 12:00 pm and/or Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 am for a walk and discussion about the different types of fuel breaks that were proposed in the Fuels Management Program update.
Staff will provide a detailed and tactical explanation of what has been proposed for the shaded and roadside fuel breaks. We will also have time for questions and answers and discussion afterwards. Please reserve these dates and times, and stay tuned for additional details.
These events are intended to increase clarity around what has and has not been proposed for fuel breaks on The Sea Ranch. If there are specific questions or comments you would like to submit in advance, feel free to send them to fmp@tsra.org.

The Language of Birds Presentation
Join us Friday, May 12 at 7:00pm: Ohlson Ranch House for a presentation: The Language of Birds. This talk from the author of the Peterson Field Guide to Bird Sounds is an accessible, entertaining introduction to a fascinating topic. You’ll learn how one bird sound can have many meanings, and how one meaning can have many sounds—and how, sometimes, the meaning isn’t in the sounds at all.

Commons Landscape Committee Workshop
Winter storms are fresh in memory and the summer fire season is about to begin. The CLC workshop is an opportunity for conversations about the effects of climate change and how we manage and adapt our Commons in the face of uncertainty. With a roundtable format for exchanges, we’ll hear members’ observations about hazards, vulnerabilities, and consequences in neighborhoods and throughout TSR. Bring photos, drawings, narratives to describe your observations and to inform the discussions.
This CLC workshop is May 20 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Del Mar Hall. The meeting will be hybrid, but in-person attendance is encouraged to get the most from the roundtable discussions.
Zoom login information is available on the Association website.
Sea Ranch Architecture Images Needed
