Dear Members of The Sea Ranch Association,
Application Process for New Terms on Sonoma County Coast Municipal Advisory Council
Two years ago, Sonoma County Supervisor Lynda Hopkins formed a Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) for the unincorporated coastal areas in her district. Our area is represented by two full members and an alternate. The terms of two of the three sunset at the end of this calendar year.
The application period has begun, closing October 31. For more information about the MAC, and for the application, see the Sonoma Coast MAC website: https://sonomacounty.ca.gov/Sonoma-County-Coast-Municipal-Advisory-Council/.
The Sea Ranch Board of Directors will have a voice in vetting candidates from The Sea Ranch and passing their recommendation on to Supervisor Hopkins. More information will be forthcoming from our Board regarding what additional information, if any, they’d like to have from Sea Ranch applicants.
Current members from our area are Marti Campbell, Paul Plakos, and Dibby Tyler. Their contact information can be found on the MAC website, should you wish to contact them for additional information about the workings of the MAC.

Verdant View Recycling Center Closure
Date: Tuesday, November 3
Reminder: Because of excessive dumping of cardboard and other materials, the Board acted in August to close the Recycling Center at Verdant View as of November 3, 2020.
Association members who have relied on the site for recycling materials are advised to contact Recology to discuss options. Examples include regular $50/month or $11/trip on-call service, both of which include household refuse and recycled material pick up. Other services, including larger containers and “walk-up” service are also available for residents.
InfoAlerts will be posted every Wednesday. If you would like your event or activity to appear as an InfoAlert, please submit your information by Saturday of the week before to [email protected].
